Orbit started its journey as an animation company in 2004, founded by a group of visionaries. Initially, the company started in its nascent stages with a rather unconventional philosophy in the animation industry. Instead of focusing solely on entertainment, Orbit aimed to explore the applications of 3D animation in the fields of science and technology.
Over the years, Orbit's expertise in 3D animation found recognition and support from prestigious organizations such as the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the Department of Science & Technology (under the Government of India), and the National Council of Science Museums. These collaborations led to the creation of edutainment animation content that served various educational and informative purposes, particularly in the domains of Astronomy and Space-science.
Over time, Orbit expanded its creative talents and capabilities to include areas such as engineering visualizations, architecture, safety training and high-end computer-generated imagery (CGI). This diversification allowed Orbit to establish distinct verticals and independent profit centers within the company. As a result, Orbit has been able to provide its services to some of the most reputed organizations both within India and abroad, further solidifying its reputation as a versatile and respected player in the animation and visualization industry.
